Computational Maritime Science Systems, Networks, and Optimization

Book Abstract

This Book ?Computational Maritime Science Systems, Networks, and Optimization? contains a collection of chapters highlighting advances in research work in quantum computing and quantum communication.Quantum computing research is a very active and diverse area of research. In this book, the main focus is on quantum computing for computational science and engineering applications. Research work related to computational fluid dynamics, as well as more general scientific computing aspects, is considered. The second part of the book details work in quantum communication, with a particular focus on work related to securing communication within a network of computers using concepts from quantum mechanics. The final part of the book introduces the reader to quantum neural networks, quantum dynamical systems, as well as a new framework that represents probability in quantum information science. The seven chapters cover a wide range of contributions in a very active area of research. Irrespective of the duration for which the classical system based on bits remains secure, the imminent advent of quantum systems demands a robust cryptographic mechanism to safeguard both manifest data and the existing system?s structure and infrastructure against various threats.
