Book Abstract

Machine vision attempts to reproduce the sense of vision for machines through algorithms, sophisticated image sensors, and optics with the help of computers and robots. The images or videos acquired by the machine vision system are processed with different technologies, such as image processing algorithms and communications, to solve different tasks, for example, visual inspection,object positioning, robot guidance, etc. The need for machine vision is crucial because machines, computer systems, and/or robots have the ability to observe,communicate, and work with more precision, providing more opportunities in different applications. This book can combine the ?pure? machine vision and the ?general? computer vision solutions.
